In a previous RV "incarnation," our home base located our RV downhill from the nearest sewer dumping port. Towing the rig up to the port was out of the question. What was the answer? Along came a system called "Sewer Solution," a system that allows you to pump out your RV holding tank using only a couple of garden hoses. And best of all for us, it sent that unwanted effluent uphill.
Here's a video that shows how Sewer Solution works.
If you have electric waste valves, this Sewer Solution creates a problem that an electric driven macerator system also creates. The individual grey and black electric waste valves at the tanks have a motor driven gear system inside the valve assembly and when you open up the valves and empty 3" of water that then has to try to empty into a 1" hose in the Sewer Solution, it creates a lot of back pressure that, over time, forces water and crud past the valve gate up into the gear assembly of the electric waste valves. This eventually gums up the electric valve gear assembly and they stop working. It's best to use the normal 3" waste hose for emptying whenever possible and only use a macerator or this Sewer Solutiion when absolutley neccessary. I've talked to the manufacturer of the electric waste valves and they conformed this is a problem when using a macerator or the Sewer Solution which reduces the water flow from 3" down to 1". Both of my electric valves quit working after 3 years of fulltiming and I only used the macerator about 15-20 times during that period.
